Camping Luggage

Camping Equipment - Basic Elements, Optimization and Amenities.

Camping equipment is very different, diverse and according to personal preferences. Depending on the location, time and number of people, camping equipment also varies with us.

The equipment is most often the following:

Tent, hammer for pegs - we have 2 types of tents:

  • one large family black out with two bedrooms with a large vestibule

  • 2 double black out tents - small, compact

Mattress and electric pump - we have 2 types of mattresses again:

  • inflatable - we carry one more, the dog last time it burst one and it is clearly a necessity

  • self-inflatable - not so compact, thin, but easy to use, a pump is not necessary

  • foldable memory foam pillows

Awning

Foldable chairs and table

Sleeping bag - summer - for temperatures around and above 20 degrees and winter - for temperatures between 5 and 20 degrees

Kitchen - there are several items here and for more compactness we put them in a crate:

  • gas stove and windscreen

  • kitchen utensils - cutlery, plates, glasses, camping pot set, folding boxes

  • grill - again we have several types - for fire, on electricity, sandwich toast

  • bag with headlamps, portable lamp, space and clips

  • bag with electric cables, power strips, spare gas for the stove, whisk, electric adapter

Luggage for the dog - foldable dog tent, foldable bowls, food and medicine. Clothes, spare collar and leash, cupping lead.

Food - we always take a certain amount of food for the first few days - canned food, spaghetti, soup, tea, bread. In the cooler bag - grilled meat, beer, sandwich products.

Electric cooler bag - we took 2 types of power cords - 120 and 220 volts.

Variable luggage - here are the items that we don't always take due to luggage restrictions and depending on whether we will change campsites often or have a long stay:

  • Folding kitchen cabinet

  • Hammock

I often find myself looking at other campers' equipment for optimization or improvements. For more ideas and inspiration, you can also look at Pinterest. Over time, we have accumulated our current equipment, adding new items every year, replacing old ones.

A large part of our equipment is from Decathlon and Lidl, as well as other stores.
