Once you have registered, all you have to do is follow the steps below to make a reservation. To reach higher levels in Genius, you need to make more reservations. I raised my level very quickly with one trip to several cities. For example - I decide that I will travel around Croatia, I make a preliminary itinerary with which I will visit 5 cities in 7 days. I mark the cities and the days of stay, I make an approximate budget and I am ready to make the reservations.
After you set the city and period of your stay, the results are displayed. On the right there is a very useful bar with filters where you can specify a specific search - for example, parking, breakfast, free cancellation, pool, spa, pets, etc. depending on your wishes. For me, a big plus is the Free Cancellation option, i.e. until a certain date you can cancel your reservation without paying a fee. Another convenience is the ability to choose when to pay - immediately, a few days before your stay or on site, which is offered in most cases. When booking, debit card details are entered for verification. Read the terms and conditions of each accommodation carefully.
Carefully examine the properties offered. For your convenience, there is even a map of the city that can guide you where you are, how far it is from the center and all the sights. Examine the photos and the list of amenities offered in detail. Find out if there is parking, airport transfer, payment method, children and pets, smoking, etc. - the information is always very detailed. There is always an option to contact the owners/hotel if you have additional questions and cannot find an answer.
The platform allows each client to leave a review and rating from a visit, as well as photos, which are also very valuable. The rating of these visitors is also a good guide, keeping in mind that 10 is the highest. For example, I choose properties with a rating of 8 and above.
After you select the desired accommodation from the list, you choose the desired room depending on how many people you are. Wash carefully and read all the information.
After selecting a room, a "Book" button appears on the right. Clicking it will guide you through steps 2 and 3 to finalize the reservation.
In the first step, the platform will automatically fill in the fields of your registration form. Verify the data and enter new or additional data if necessary. On the left are the property data - room, price, number of guests, end date for free cancellation. Here you can also specify the arrival time.
When you are ready, press the button to go through the final step for "Complete the reservation". In this step, you specify the payment method, enter debit/credit card data. If you also have a discount code, it is entered at the bottom right.
Discount code - these are promotional codes that each user receives by email - a personally generated code with a short period in which you must use it. This code is usually for -10% of the price. For example, if you book a stay for 500 BGN, after completing your stay and leaving a Rating in Booking, you will be transferred 50 BGN to your wallet within a month, which you can use for your next stay. Of course, each accommodation uses different preferences, check them to see if they allow Booking Wallet, Genius discounts, etc.
When you are ready, click the button to finalize the reservation.
You will receive a confirmation on the email you provided, as well as in your profile.
After your stay, you will receive an email with the opportunity to leave a rating of your stay. Are you satisfied with the price/quality, is the property what you saw in the photo. What was the communication with the owner like, any comments if you have them, etc.
